An AU where Jim meets McCoy, centuries before the shuttle ride to the Starfleet Academy. They live in the 21st century, and their lives are very different. Jim is a successful and determined young lawyer who’s never lost a case.

Leonard McCoy restores classic cars with his legendary hands, and owns his own body shop. The only woman he ever loved got nearly everything, except for the shop and his bones.

One fateful afternoon while returning from lunch, James sees him— the handsome mechanic. They hold eye contact for a moment, until Jim shakes himself from his reverie and continues into his office building. But when he checks out an advertisement for a classic ‘69 Camaro and comes face to face with the handsome man from that fateful day.

That’s when something inside of him realizes his future happiness isn’t in never losing a case, it’s standing right infront of him.

I don’t SHIP Jim and Leonard, but the basic idea is one that I am totally down with, good lord baby JEEZUZ.
